Aphrosteria-Conceptions

Don't know whether this was ever actually given a straight answer as to whether it can or can't be. But.. anyhow, i took the time to finish it off, just so it's there if it is ever needed ;]

Don't want to go into the details of it, as it's constantly being chopped and changed. But basically Aphrosteria is a badass Oracle that was banished away on a floating island like continent, and chained up, only to eventually be freed from its shackles once the continent crashes upon another. Being that the arms have been chained up for thousands of years, Aprosteria has lost a lot of muscle mass within them, and so uses its magical energy to animate it chains, as Aphrosteria has highly concentrated amounts of ether, that it has found the perfect source of this is from the ether sprites, and so feeds off of them? Anyway, yeah as i said, due date was today for the promotional team, good work guys :] Am very impressed. Looking forward to seeing what makes in into the next level of develpoment, all the best to ya!

Aphrosteria- Awakening

So my first day off , free from my ordinary liberties in a long time, and... well, i got bored ;]
So as what i tend to do when I'm bored, my mind tends to replay events in its head over and over again, possible scenarios. and i was thinking of Eclipse, more specifically on everyone's Oracles, and how they would all piece together into this story. So i started off with Aphrosteria, and how it is entrapped on a floating continent for eternity ( until it crashes ) this idea spawned several thousand times in my head over the next few hours, re-birthing itself every time. And so i designed another concept image. Just myself trying to project my thought into a painting of my own imagery;]

So basically this image is set, just after the Island crashes and Aphrosteria is set free. It is just getting used to not being bound to one place for so long, and taking a look around. It's early dawn, and it's looking over the world of Eclipse, you could say yawning, stretching whatever :p animating its chains, for the first time? This is its only moment of enlightenment, before their story begins.

This is just some conceptual jazz i get up to ;] when I'm bored. In this image our genderless friend is looking more female orientated, still messing around with it, trying to find the right balance i guess you could say?

Oracle-Aphrosteria: Part II

This is a further continuation in my explorations into the endeavors of mental warfare and nightmares, thus the inspirations for their appearance. I still instill the idea that Aphrosteria is currently genderless, though they may resemble a female, in physical attributes, whether or not they ascertain a gender, only time will tell. Now, Aphrosteria definitely has a background story to ''her'', still in progress, with expanding ideas coming forever more. Though basically, Aphosteria has a past, which is a mystery at this current point in time, possibly a forgotten past. She's calm, patient, wise, and very manipulative. Due to her past, Aphrosteria is emotionless, but has a small voodoo like doll that's alive, that follows her. This doll is essentially a representation
( emotionally ) of what she was before her past. It carries Aphrosteria's emotion on behalf of her, and as such is very much the opposite of Aphrosteria. It is also a lot younger, and so acts child like, and innocent, but it anything but. Though wise and secrets it may keep, it is like a friend and mentor as such to Aphrosteria, the closest connection she has to her once self.

Aphrosteria is very much ethereal, haunted by herself and her past. Due to her psychotic, traumatic childhood, she has become mentally unstable and unsafe within the mind and in nature, due to this she has become immensely powerful, though with the only motive of revenge and havoc on her mind, almost every part of her has been locked away within the doll, recreating her as a new person entirely, with memories that she feels as if don't belong to her,and the doll acts as guidance. Aphrosteria gets the doll to collect souls from everything that confronts them, once they have defeated it.

I've acted off of your ideas, Michelle. And i have to say.. a lot of your ideas i was also thinking of myself ! ;] Now don't worry too much is she has a lot of things you aren't happy or sure about, they can all be fixed :]
I've tried my best to do my visual representation of your armor nailed into the body, instead of nailing it in though, I've used stitches. Her skin is a lot paler and more neutral than the original, as she is an Oracle. I've also taken firm grasp of your arms not being in use, as a substitute, i chained her arms to a wooden like plank, very much to how people used to have their heads stuck in them, before a beheading, or just kept as prisoner, though her head has obviously been freed. I'd very much like to further discuss the story of Eclipse, as so i can work on the story of this Oracle more thoroughly, i tend to design better, when i know its story as if it were me.

The first two images are my intended pieces for now, the last two are just some concepts i came up with, a parody so to speak, a dark Oracle.

Aphrosteria in the Desert

i needed practice on my tablet, Oliver's Aphrosteria concept somehow managed to be posted in the future :? so i have had ~5 days of seeing it everytime i log on. and this is the baby of those two factors!

didnt do all of the chains as they dont add that much to the picture..but you get the idea :P

Aphrosteria is a gender ambiguous oracle that has a massive ammount of raw mana, it was defeated and caught after years of war byyyy... lets say serinya :? and bound to a small drifting island then sent into the void, after decades of being unable to move on a tiny island, drifting over the swirling core of the plannet, Aphrosteria went mad.
eventually the island crashed into a floating continent and broke the chains that bind it, now Aphrosteria is free, though still stuck in the weathered bindings, unable to remove them after years of wearing them. aphrosteria now uses the chains attached to its belt as its arms by animating them with its mana.

now aphrosteria only lives to take revenge on serinya, and will destroy everything in it's path to get to her

first time i have really used my tablet so be kind :P

..also story is subject to change, as i just kinda made that up
me and oliver will work out some badass story together :)

Oracle: Aphrosteria

I have designed an early stage of my idea for a possible Oracle, Aphrosteria. The name implies that they may be female, but my original intention was to make the gender as ambiguous as possible, incorporating male and female attributes over it. They're meant to be emotionless, by that i mean, physically, they show no emotion, this however does not mean that they don't feel emotion. Like Michelle's idea , this will be ethereal, mysterious, with a lingering presense. This Oracle is capable of bestowing great sorrow and anguish over anyone who dwells upon it and is knows as something that had once suffered nightmares beyond belief and can recreat its nightmares within the mind into a reality around it. It's also pshychic.

This is still a work in progress, and probably totally what you don't have in mind Michelle. that's ok , we can still work with it :] Let me know any new ideas for the story so i can work with it more. I still need to grasp a better understanding of the story ;]
